Aalto University acknowledges the research impact of two flagships

The opening ceremony of the academic year at Aalto University was organized on September third. In the event, eight teams from the Aalto community received awards for their achievements in education development, outstanding research or artistic impact. Two flagships, the Finnish Centre for Artificial Intelligence (FCAI) and the Photonics Research and Innovation flagship (PREIN) received the recognition on research impact.

The prize for Photonics Research and Innovation flagship was based on research from value chains and basic research to applied research, product development and commercialisation.
 

In Aalto Professor Zhipei Sun, Professor Harri Lipsanen, Professor Matti Kaivola and Professor Hele Savin represent the research leaders in PREIN.
