BEST logo.JPG   BEST course in photonics arranged in Tampere in October

The Board of European Students of Technology (BEST) is non-profit and non-political organization, which provides co-operation and short term exchange possibilities for students all over Europe. There are over 3300 members from 34 different countries.

The PREIN flagship is arranging a photonics course for BEST at Tampere University. The course is targeted to first to third year bachelor students and the themes covered will include basic optics, semiconductor and hybrid solar cells, solar fuels, LIDARS and light robotics. There were over 100 applicants, of which 22 were selected to participate on the “Game of Photons” course in Tampere University.

The course will take place on October 27 October - 3 November 2019. The  course will include 3 days of motivation, theory, exercises and small lab works. In addition there will also be company visits included in the programme and the course is sponsored by Modulight. The students will make a group project work on some specific topic during the week, which they then present at the end of the course.
