Call for the EOS Early Career Women in Photonics Award (deadline 4 April)

The call for the EOS Early Career Women in Photonics Award is now open, with a deadline of 4 April for applications.

The EOS Early Career Women in Photonics Award is presented to honor a young female scientist who has made outstanding contributions to photonics.

The award consists of a diploma and an honorarium of €2500.

Application deadline: 4 April 2025. 

The prestigious award ceremony will take place during a plenary session at the 2025 CLEO®/Europe-EQEC conference, held in Munich, Germany.

The last award was presented at an award ceremony at the CLEO/Europe-EQEC  on Tuesday 27 June 2023, 10:30 – 12:30 CET, held within the World of Photonics Congress from 25-30 June 2023.
 

Eligibility:

Any woman, EOS member, active in the field of photonics, within ten years of the completion of their first PhD by 1 Dec 2024, excluding career breaks (e.g. eldercare, maternity leave, adoption), may apply for the award.

The winner will receive the Award from EOS consisting of a diploma and an honorarium of €2500, during the LASER World of Photonics in June, in Munich, within the prestigious CLEO Award Ceremony.
