Erasmus Mundus funding for Photonics Master’s Programmes

The University of Eastern Finland is involved in two Erasmus Mundus programmes that received funding from the European Commission in 2024, Intelligent Photonics for Security, Reliability, Sustainability, and Safety (iPSRS) and Imaging and Light in Extended Reality (IMLEX). Both were re-applications for exisiting programmes. There will a total be 80 EMJM scholarships for new master’s students in both programmes during the following four intakes.

The master programme on Intelligent Photonics for Security, Reliability, Sustainability, and Safety (iPSRS) focuses on intelligent photonics with a dynamic fusion of Photonics and AI. iPSRS trains the next generation of highly-skilled experts in photonics and data science to address the current and future societal challenges related to security and safety of people, goods and environment. The programme is coordinated by Université Jean Monnet Saint-Etienne, and the partners are University of Eastern Finland, Université Paris-Est Créteil and Vilnius University
